Well, it’s been a long time coming! But two of the most eagerly anticipated trailers of the year (and films of 2020) dropped in the same week – gearing up for next years summer blockbuster season!

Wonder Woman: 1984

Set sixty-six years after the events of 2017’s Wonder Woman we find our Amazonian hero living (we presume) a fully “human” existence – much like we saw in 2017’s Justice League. Set in the very colourful backdrop of the 1980’s: Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) will be going up against Cheetah, played by Kristen Wig, and Pedro Pascal’s: Maxwell Lord.

Chris Pine also makes a mysterious return as Diana’s lost love: Steve Trevor. How Steve will return is yet to be seen but the trailer heavily suggests that it has something to do with Maxwell Lord.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Acting as the official third instalment of the original Ghostbusters franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set thirty years after the events of Ghostbusters 2 and follows the descendants of the Egon Spengler – played by the late, great Harold Ramis.

The trailer (though subtle) suggests that the infamous Gozer: the villain from 1984’s Ghostbusters will return!

The trailer defiantly has a lot of heart to it – hoping to honour the original movies and to pass the mantle onto the generation of Ghostbusters.
